The study was guided by the following research objectives: - the effect of goal setting on the financial performance of NWSC, the effect of contractor selection on the financial performance of NWSC, the effect of contract development on the financial performance of NWSC and the effect of contract control on financial performance of NWSC. The study design used was cross-sectional survey to collect data from NWSC staff of Kampala Water under the departments of Finance, Legal and Commercial. The study adopted both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The instruments that were used in data collection were both questionnaires and interview guides. It can be concluded that goal setting, contractor selection, contractor development and contractor control are weak predictors of financial performance in NWSC.The study recommends that Management of NWSC should investigate other factors that affect financial performance.en_US
