dc.description.abstractThis study examined the relationship between Human resource management practices and job satisfaction at Taibah International School (TIS). There was an increase in rates of low work attitudes, commitment and involvement later leading to absenteeism and turnover as displayed by staff at TIS in the past five years. The specific objectives of this study were to find out the relationship between compensation, performance evaluation and promotion and job satisfaction. The study adopted a cross sectional research design with a sample size of 82 respondents. Data were collected using; questionnaire, interview and documentary review methods accompanied by the corresponding instruments; questionnaire survey, interview guide and the documentary review checklist. The study found out that performance evaluation and compensation had a strongly positive relationship with Job satisfaction while promotion and compensation had a moderate and positive relationship respectively. The implications of the study focus on impartiality in compensation and regular feedback in performance appraisals. Unbiased Promotion on the other hand removes dissatisfying factors among employees. In recommendation, TIS should practice providing and maintaining competitive rewards of employees, regular performance feedback and attaching a lot like benefits, power (superiority) to promotional posts in its human resource management practices so as to create job satisfaction.en_US
