    Abstract
    This study is aimed at analysing the influence of workforce flexibility on staff performance in Non – Governmental Organizations using Heifer International Uganda as a case study. The study was guided by three objectives which included; To establish how functional flexibility influences staff performance in Heifer International Uganda; To find out how numerical flexibility influences staff performance in Heifer International Uganda; To assess the extent to which financial flexibility influences staff performance in Heifer International Uganda. The respondents were employees of Heifer International and the study based mainly on primary data collected using questionnaires and interview guides. The study employed both qualitative and quantitative techniques of data collection. The findings revealed that there is a statistically significant relationship between Numerical flexibility, financial flexibility, functional flexibility and staff performance. However financial flexibility was revealed to a high extent. The moderating variable was found on have an effect on the relationship between workforce flexibility and staff performance. Thus the following conclusions were made; functional flexibility, numerical flexibility and financial flexibility have an effect on staff performance. The study recommended for the improvement in the use of financial flexibility, followed by Numerical flexibility and functional among staff at Heifer International since they are the key pillars in strategic goal achievement and staff performance.
