Abstract
This survey concentrated on looking at the impact of internal controls on the performance of
International Non-Government Organizations in Uganda taking a contextual analysis of The Danish
Refugee Council. Specifically, the investigation went for exploring the impacts of control condition;
control activities; and information and communication on performance of the Danish Refugee
Council. The investigation utilized a cross sectional research plan that used both qualitative and
quantitative methodologies. Surveys and interview guides were used to gather data from a sample of
135 informants. Whereas qualitative data was analyzed using content and topical investigation,
quantitative data was examined using inferential examination. This survey discovered that control
environment; control activities; and information and communication effectively affect the
performance of the Danish Refugee Council. The survey commended reinforcing of and enforcement
of internal control dimensions for this study (control environment, control activities, and information
and communication to improve performance.
