Abstract

The purpose of the study was meant to establish the relationship between risk management and organisational performance at CREEC. CREEC stand for Centre for Research Energy and Energy Conservation. The study was guided by three objectives: for instance to establish the relationship between risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation and organizational performance at CREEC. The study employed a cross-sectional survey design supported by both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The target population was 65 and the sample size was 53. Data was analysed using SPSS version 21 and the study objectives /hypotheses were tested using Pearson Correlation co efficient index. The findings from the fields revealed there was a strong positive significant relationship between risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation and organizational performance at CREEC. From the findings of the study, it was observed that risk identification, risk analysis and risk evaluation were significantly related to organizational performance of CREEC. Therefore I recommend that CREEC leaders should put up an observation team, continuously hold meetings, regular reviews and assessment. The policy statement of CREEC through risk monitoring, controls and audits should be clearly emphasized to ensure compliance with performance goals.
