dc.description.abstract | The study examined how Organizational leadership affects the performance of child fund projects in Uganda, specifically Mbale District. The specific objectives of the study were to examine how Leadership structure and leadership style affects the performance of child fund projects in Mbale District. The study was a cross sectional survey which adopted both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data from a sample of 80 respondents was collected using documentary review checklist, structured interview guides, and questionnaire. Qualitative data was analyzed using content analysis of which the respondent’s views of the study were coded and categories constructed, analyzed and descriptive summaries said by respondents were presented. However, Quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics specifically frequency distribution tables with the view to ascertain the number of times values of a given variables occurred. The study concluded that Leadership structure accounted for 71.2% of the variance on performance of child fund projects while leadership style accounted for 19.6%. It is seen from the analysis that Leadership structure has a greater effect on the performance of child fund projects followed by leadership style. This implies that leadership structure significantly affects performance while leadership style affects positively. The study recommended Management to integrate foreign policies with indigenous policies to create favorable working environment, capacity building of all staff and leaders to improve on skills and knowledge in managing timely and quality project deliverables in order to multiply on funding by donors, develop strategies that influence the leadership structure to provide clear authority to concerned and specific officers in charge. | en_US |
