This study assessed the factors that affect project performance of body shops or contracted head count at a telecom vendor in Uganda. The objectives of the study were: to assess the effect of facilitation, management, and training on project performance at a telecom vendor. A cross sectional survey design that triangulated both qualitative and quantitative approaches was used. Purposive sampling was used to select a sample of 66 respondents from a target population of 73 staff. Data was collected by questionnaire survey, interviewing and documentary review. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis. The findings revealed that project performance at the telecom vendor requires urgent attention and that all the independent variables; facilitation, management and training affected project performance individually and collectively. On the basis of these findings, it was concluded that the research was able to test all hypotheses set out which were supported by evidence from the field and accordingly adopted. The independent variables significantly affected project performance at the telecom vendor. The study among other recommendations, recommends improvement in facilitation of body shops at the same level as the permanent employees, regular refresher training of managers about managing the complex outsourcing environment and put a lot of emphasis on training of body shops in the new technologies.en_US
