The study investigated the effects of e-procurement and performance of government agencies in Uganda, taking a case study of Civil Aviation Authority. Specifically, the study examined the effects of: e-sourcing, e-invoicing/self-billing, e-payment and performance of Civil Aviation Authority. The study was guided by one main objective: the effects of e-procurement and the performance of the Authority and three specific objectives: the effects of: e-sourcing and performance of the Authority, the effects of e-invoicing/self-billing and performance of the Authority and finally the effects of e-payment and performance of the Authority. The study applied cross-sectional survey research design with a sample size of 37 respondents. 60 questionnaires were distributed to the targeted respondents but only 40 of them were returned to the researcher and 3 of them were eliminated due to errors thereby leaving only 37 valid questionnaires which were entered in SPSS for statistical data analysis. The 37 valid questionnaires represented a response rate of 61.6%. The sampling techniques used during the study were purposive and simple random sampling. The methods of data collections applied during the study were; questionnaires, interviews and observation methods. The structured questionnaires and interview guide provided the researcher with detailed data for statistical analysis that enabled the researcher to answer the research questions and it was evidenced from the results that e-procurement affects the performance of the Authority. The study revealed that there is a positive significant relationship between e-procurement and performance and this was indicated by the results of Pearson correlation coefficient carried out during the study. Internet failure and computer virus were found to be the major causes of loss of data records in the entire organisation. The study therefore recommended that there is need for Civil Aviation Authority to install strong antivirus devices and create backups to protect her records from being affected by the computer virus.en_US
