dc.description.abstractThe study aimed at examining the relationship between Public Procurement Management and Procurement performance of the study at Uganda National Roads Authority. The study employed a cross sectional research design using a sample size of 103 out of 148 respondents from UNRA in Kampala district offices. Data was collected using a self-administered questionnaires and an interview guides and analyzed using a Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS). Correlation and regression analysis were used in data analysis. The results revealed significant positive relationships between; procurement planning and procurement performance, procurement controlling and procurement performance and procurement control and procurement performance at Uganda National Roads Authority. In addition, results revealed that procurement contracting, procurement control and procurement planning are significant predictors of procurement performance at UNRA. Finally a number of recommendations are given; central government, different government entities should improve procurement performance through sensitizing their employees to adopt the procurement management constructs namely procurement planning, procurement contracting procurement control. ICT should also be adopted in these entities to support the procurement activities so that efficiency and effectiveness can be achieved in the public procurement process and Areas for future research may want to use a qualitative case-based approach that uses in-depth interviews to solicit unstructured views about procurement performance which could employ a larger sample size including local government bodies since this study only considered Uganda National Roads Authority.en_US
